Mannequin Bliss
Normally you’ll hear me ranting about poorly dressed mannequins!  However, in this post, I’ll gush about all that’s right in this well-dressed mannequin at the University of Dayton Bookstore.  Layered pieces, appropriate footwear and subtle signage make for an A+ grade.  Even the shoestrings coordinate with the outfit.  Well done, UD!

Happy Holidays!
If you’ve ever worked in a retail store (and you probably have if you are reading this blog), you know that last week of shopping before Christmas can turn even the most “holly jolly” spirit into something a bit more Grinch-like.  To all my friends working up to that last minute shopping frenzy, may all your days be merry and bright!

Out-of-Stock Messages
My favorite quote from our C2O visual merchandising primer is “Prolonged NEGLECT of a seemingly minor detail can send all manner of negative messages” from Michael Levine’s Broken Windows, Broken Business.
