I’m one of the few people who can get excited about delays at the airport – more time for visual merchandising research!  I was inspired to snap this photo at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG) Airport’s sports themed displays for the Reds, UC Bearcats and UK Wildcats.  I was impressed with the impact made with stacking tables rather than the more traditional waterfall hanging against the walls.  It is certainly very flexible for a variety of merchandise.

On a recent visit to Chicago I spied this noteworthy display window at the Best Buy on Michigan Avenue.  Thousands of tourists visit Chicago for the museums and the shopping and this store combines the best of both worlds.  The mannequin, some Shedd Aquarium coffee mugs and the Keurig coffee maker (available inside), certainly caught my eye.  What’s a local museum or attraction you can partner with?

BYU Idaho Bookstore is on top of a hot trend I’ve been noticing – the art of chalkboard lettering.  At a recent trade show, Robb Faust and I saw new product introductions from several manufacturers featuring the latest in marker technology, essentially a liquid chalk based marker in a variety of nib sizes. Look close... Someone was pretty creative with the bubble wrap in this vibrant and unique window display, C2O's Robb Faust snapped this photo while shopping at a nearby outlet mall.  Just imagine the fun you could have with this project, almost like a giant pixel picture.
